The Australian Prospective Marriage Visa is also known as Subclass 300 Visa allows people to visit Australia with the intention to marry their prospective spouse.
Australian Prospective Marriage Visa Requirements
You might be able to get this visa if you intend to marry:
- Australian citizen or
- Australian permanent resident or
- Eligible New Zealand citizen.
This visa is also referred to as the Fiancé (Fiancée) Visa for Australia. In order to apply for this Visa, partners must:
- have physically met prior to applying
- The Sponsor must be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen.
- Plan to get married within and stay in Australia for 9 to 15 months from your visa grant date.
- If you and your spouse want to settle in Australia, apply for a Partner visa (subclass 820 and 801):
- after you are married
- before your Prospective Marriage visa ends.
